About the event
Who is this for?
Young people aged 13–19 who want to strengthen their sense of identity, self-worth, and belonging, while gaining inspiration from real-life leaders who share similar experiences. Perfect for teens who sometimes feel “different,” caught between cultures, or unsure of their place in society. This session is inclusive for everyone — whether they’re outgoing or shy, born in the UK or recently arrived — because diversity and lived experience are at the heart of it.
Hour 1: Self-Worth & Identity – Celebrating Diversity & Cultural Pride
Purpose: To build confidence in who participants are, embrace their cultural roots, and see diversity as a strength.
What happens:
Identity warm-up: participants fill in the sentence “I am…” five times, using words about personality, culture, strengths, or passions.
